Instructions colors for airbrush

Our colors are developed with acrylic resin and a solvent base for high coverage, high adhesion and pigment concentration, prepared to work with an airbrush.

An ideal solution to improve efficiency, quality and performance, as it is designed to minimize steps and distractions, allowing modelers to focus on achieving good results.

Fire Scale Modeler reinforces the commitment, promotion and development of repainting systems compliant and compliant with VOC regulations.

Instructions :

Fire Scale Colors FSC paints are pre-diluted for direct use in the airbrush, brushing only for minor touch-ups.

Shake the bottle well until the ink is well mixed. USE ONLY WITH AIRBRUSH .

Apply over recommended primer

The commonly recommended air pressure (bar) for a gravity feed airbrush is anywhere between 1 bar - 2.5 bar, depending on the viscosity of the paint being sprayed. Fire Scale Colors paints are pre-diluted for optimal airbrush use, but using the correct bar setting is key to achieving a perfectly smooth and even finish. We recommend using low air pressure, between 1.5 to 2 bar when spraying Fire Scale Colors paints. The goal is to spray thin layers creating the desired color density. Never spray “wet” as this wastes paint and can create paint flakes. Remember, paint must not fix or “remove” imperfections on the plastic surface of your scale model.

Environment between 20°C and 22°C, drying time is 5 to 10 min. minimum between layers, 20 to 30 min being recommended.

The nozzle, also known as the tip, and the size of the airbrush needle determine how much paint can be sprayed through it. Sizes generally range from 0.10mm to 1.5mm. We recommend a nozzle of at least 0.2mm to 0.4mm for good uniform spray coverage when spraying scale model bodies with Fire Scale Colors paints. Nozzle sizes from 0.2mm to 0.4mm are best for painting larger areas as they allow a greater volume of paint flow over a wider spray pattern. This will give you much faster and more even coverage over large areas of car bodies.

If necessary, thin the color using Thinner FSC027 thinner.

NEVER USE White Spirt, Acrylic Thinners or Cellulose Thinner are not suitable for this paint.

We do not recommend the use of paints in cold environments or with high humidity, always check the conditions of the space where you will be painting.

Clean your airbrush with Fire Scale Colors airbrush cleaner or acetone. Ultrasonic cleaners do a great job cleaning airbrush parts.

Always work in a well-ventilated area and always wear a mask, keep away from children and tighten the cap for safety and conditioning of the product after each use.
